Y’all, my uncle died yesterday. He was only 52 years old (just two years older than my mom), and was diagnosed with cancer within the past month or so. By the time they found it, it was already in multiple organs. He died at home yesterday, accompanied by his wife and oldest sister. In lieu of being able to say anything more profound, I give you this list of resources for dealing with grief:

  • Loss, Grief, and Bereavement - National Cancer Institute
  • Coping With Loss - National Mental Health Association
  • Helping Yourself Through Grief - American Hospice Foundation
  • Grief - JAMA Patient Page
  • Grief and Loss - AARP
  • When Someone You Love Has Advanced Cancer: Support for Caregivers - National Cancer Institute
